Virgin Australia sale offers cheap flights to Fiji, Byron Bay, Gold Coast, Hamilton Island, New Zealand

How holiday-hungry Aussies can get to Fiji for just $419 with Easter getaways costing as little as $45 – but you’ll have to be quick

  • Virgin Airlines slashed prices of 1.5 million seats in a ‘back to vacation’ sale
  • Travelers can fly to the popular resort town of Byron Bay for as little as $45
  • International fares to Fiji, Bali and New Zealand are also discounted

Flights to popular holiday hotspots have been slashed with some fares costing less than $50 each way in a huge sale with Virgin Australia.

Fares to Byron Bay, the Whitsundays and even Fiji are among the discounts offered in a massive ‘cheap seat’ sale.

The airline launched the gigantic sale as part of its post-Covid recovery to entice Australians to take a winter break.

The Easter Sale, which ends April 4, includes 28 discounted domestic and international routes with fares as low as $45.

Vacation-hungry Aussies can find cheap fare to the ever-popular Byron Bay, as well as the Gold Coast, Cairns, Hobart, Melbourne and even Hamilton Island.

Overseas, discounted one-way fares can be had for as little as $229 from Sydney to Fiji, $279 from Melbourne to Queenstown and Brisbane to Bali for $239.

Virgin Australia said the sale would cut more than 1.5 million seats.

The airline has offered additional incentives to convince families to travel, with an additional 25% discount for children under 11.

“We’re also making the next vacation even more affordable for families with an additional 25% off sale fares for children ages 2-11,” the airline said.

Virgin Australia said the sale would provide a ‘healthy boost’ to the wider tourism economy, with demand for domestic travel returning to near 2019 levels.

Australians have spent an agonizing 590 days cut off from the rest of the world under draconian Covid travel restrictions.
