This airline is offering cheap flights from the US to Iceland for $99 and the sale is ending soon
If you’ve always dreamed of immersing yourself in the Blue Lagoon and watching the Northern Lights in Iceland, then there’s no better time than the present to score a super-cheap flight and make that dream come true.
Play Airlines, Iceland’s ultra-low-cost airline, currently offers flights from the US to Reykjavik from USD 99, as well as several others discount travel in Europe.
There’s just one catch: you need to book as soon as possible, because the Iceland sale only lasts until Friday, August 26.
The airline will begin operating flights from Dulles International Airport near Washington, DC next year, and marks the expansion with a huge seat sale.
The cheapest flight on the books is between Dulles Airport and Reykjavik, which will set you back $99 each way. That’s just over 50% off, as the airline will soon bump that up to the regular price of $200 one-way, USA today reports.
The sale is for flights from late April to mid-June next year, and prices vary depending on the day of booking. However, they are much cheaper than they will soon be.
Iceland is beautiful to see no matter when you go, but the Play sale will get you right before the peak summer travel season. This means you’ll have a bit more space to hike glaciers, bathe in hot springs, and admire stunning waterfalls during your visit.
You will also get plenty of daylight if you go in June as the country receives almost 24 hours of sunshine at this time.
And the best part? Play also sells discounted trips to several other European destinations via Iceland, including Berlin, Copenhagen, Paris, London and Dublin. Some of these sales are running until August 29, so you have a few more days if you like them.
But don’t wait too long! These seats are going fast.
