Malaysia Airlines adds additional flights and A330 aircraft for domestic routes for GE15, students get 30% off with MHexplorer
To support the upcoming 15th General Election (GE15) move, Malaysia Airlines has added more flights and capacity for the election weekend. They have increased the number of flights from 26 to 44 and upgraded 16 to 24 domestic services to its Airbus A330 jumbo jet on several routes in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak to ensure reliable and smooth connectivity for voters.
For those planning to return to their hometown to vote on November 19, Malaysia Airlines is still offering 20% off all-inclusive one-way fares from RM104 through its “Jom Balik Mengundi” campaign for bookings made by November 19, 2022 for the travel period between November 11 to 27, 2022. The 20% discount is applicable to all fare categories, including Lite, Basic and Flex for economy class, as well as Basic and Flex for business class on their website.
Students aged 18-26 can enjoy 30% off Malaysia Airlines and Firefly flights, 10kg extra baggage allowance and free date change if they register as as MHexplorer member. Commenting on the additional capacity, Captain Izham Ismail, Group CEO of Malaysia Airlines Berhad, said “Since the launch of “Jom Balik Mengundi” on October 20, 2022, bookings on Malaysia Airlines have jumped 7% from our daily average, with nearly 70,000 passenger bookings. We have also increased capacity by 30% to key domestic destinations in Peninsular Malaysia, such as Penang and Kota Bharu, as well as Sabah and Sarawak. With a few states, including Penang and Selangor, declaring public holidays on November 18, 2022 to allow more Malaysians to return home to vote in the general election, customers are advised to book their tickets early to get the best fares on Malaysia Airlines. .
