Dar company presents travel packages for the FIFA World Cup
Fatema Lalji, Sales and Marketing Manager of Travel Link Tanzania Limited, told Dar es Salaam yesterday that travelers who book with the Dar es Salaam-based company will fly on board Qatar Air, Emirates, Oman Air and Fly Dubai.
“This time our package will not include the match tickets as FIFA is selling them online. Anyone who wants to get the match tickets must buy them directly online,” Fatema said.
The official Travel Links package revealed will cost between $2,000 and $5,000 depending on hotel type, airline and length of stay in Doha.
She said that Travel Link, an IATA-accredited travel agency, has already made deals with the best hotels and lodges in Doha and other cities in Qatar where this year’s FIFA World Cup will be held in november.
“We advise Tanzanians wishing to travel to Qatar to start making arrangements now to avoid the traffic jams that are likely to occur as the World Cup tournament approaches,” Fatema noted.
She further said that local football fans who will be booked on Qatar Air will fly directly to Doha while those traveling on Emirates, Fly Dubai and Oman Air will transit through Dubai and Muscat.
“At Travel Link we are very well placed to provide local travelers with world class service, as some of them will remember from previous World Cups, we have also offered similar services,” said the Director of Sales and Marketing for Travel Link.
Fatema advised those considering using Travel Link services to visit the company’s offices in downtown Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, Mwanza and Arusha.
“Customers can also contact us online by visiting our website at www.travellink.co.tz where all the details are available,” she explained.
Founded in 2005 by Imtiaz Lalji, Chairman and Managing Director of the company, Travel Link is a bona fide member of the Tanzania Society Agents (TASOTA) and a member of the Wildlife Conservation Society of Tanzania (WCST).
